Generic Cozaar (Losartan)
Cozaar (Losartan) is a medicine called angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It’s widely used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It’s also used to protect your kidneys if you have both kidney disease and diabetes (diabetic kidney disease). Losartan is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure in adults and children at least 6 years old. It’s also used to decrease the risk of stroke in people who have high blood pressure and a heart condition called left ventricular hypertrophy (enlargement of the walls of the left side of the heart).

Tablets of losartan are used to treat heart failure and excessive blood pressure. By lowering blood pressure, heart attacks and strokes can be avoided in the future. Additionally, this medication helps diabetic people maintain renal function.
It is possible to administer losartan tablets either by themselves or in conjunction with other medications. During the day or at night, it can be taken with or without meals. To receive the best benefit, try taking it at the same time every day. Even if your blood pressure is under control or you feel well, it is crucial that you keep taking it on a regular basis.

If you have liver or renal issues, inform your doctor before using this medication. Before taking medication, women who are pregnant or nursing should also speak with their doctor. Interactions :

Losartan has no known interactions with foods or beverages.
Losartan’s effects on alcohol consumption are unknown. Drinking alcohol while taking losartan may raise your risk of experiencing dizziness.
Overdose :
If someone has overdosed and is experiencing severe symptoms, such as unconsciousness or difficulty breathing, call 911. If not, immediately contact a poison control center.
Missed Dose :
Try to take it at the same day every day. Do not double the dose if missed.
Storage :
Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medications away from children and pets.
