Vildagliptin is a member of the “dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4)” inhibitors class of anti-diabetic medications used to treat type 2 diabetes, particularly in individuals whose blood sugar levels are not under control with diet and exercise alone. You can take vildagliptin by itself or in combination with other medications. A chronic (long-lasting) illness that alters how our bodies use glucose is called type 2 diabetes. Insulin resistance is the condition in which people with type 2 diabetes either cannot produce enough insulin or the body is unable to use it. Adult-onset diabetes, commonly referred to as type 2 diabetes, is most common in people who are middle-aged or older.

To maximize the benefits, take it consistently at the same time every day. Unless your doctor instructs you otherwise, don’t stop taking the medication. Precautions & Warnings :
